Nebulum was born from the opportunity to better blend our real presence and our virtual presence. Amidst mild success in the early days of YouTube, I thought it would be convenient to have a digital “business card” that allowed content creators not only to promote their social media to people around them but also to make interesting new connections with each other. From playing online games like World of Warcraft (where character information appears above their avatar), I thought it would be cool to see those social media credentials above user avatars wherever you go. That is the root of Nebulum; my hope is that it will help creators everywhere promote, discover and connect with social content in an immersive new way!
